Following the tradition of the past "Enrico Fermi" Schools, also the CLXXIII School will be held in Varenna at Villa Monastero, an ancient convent and mansion on the shores of the Como Lake, about 70 km north of Milan. Addresses and contact numbers are:

Participants are expected to arrive at Varenna on Monday, June 22nd, 2009, i.e. the day before the opening of the School. Accomodations will be provided in hotel rooms with 2 beds. Meals will be served at the hotels. Full board and lodging are included in the participation fee.

Milano airports (Linate, 10 km from Milano and Malpensa, 46 km from Milano) and the railway stations in town (Milano Porta Garibaldi and Milano Centrale) are connected with a frequent bus service. The railway line on which Varenna is located is Milano-Sondrio-Tirano. Trains to Varenna are leaving about every 2-3 hours from both railway stations (fast trains from Milano Centrale). After buying your railway ticket remember to punch it in one of the yellow punching machines before going on to the platform. The trip from Milano to Varenna is about 1 hour.
